Project Overview

This project focused on integrating GitHub with Slack so that important repository activities from the Netflix project could automatically appear in a Slack channel.

The GitHub organization contained two repositories:

• netflix-backend
• netflix-frontend

The integration was first configured for the netflix-backend repository so that notifications from GitHub could be sent directly to Slack.

The goal of this integration was to improve collaboration by ensuring that the team could immediately see updates, such as:

• New Pull Requests
• Pull Request Merges
• New Commits and Pushes
• Issues Created or Closed
• Repository Changes
• Workflow and Build Results

Project Objectives

The main objectives of this project were:

• Improve communication across the team
• Receive GitHub updates without opening GitHub constantly
• Track repository activity in real time
• Monitor Pull Requests and workflow results
• Keep backend and frontend notifications organized
